Watch this short presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Every person who has ever lived has faced the same inescapable reality: this life will end. We plan, we work, we build, we love — and yet no amount of effort, achievement, or good living has ever changed that one certain fact. Death comes for everyone.
That makes the question of eternity the most important question any person can ask. Where will you spend it? The Bible has a clear and certain answer — and it begins with an honest look at who every person is before a holy God.
The Bible is clear that sin did not begin with you — but it belongs to you. When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the human race and passed to every person who would ever be born. We do not become sinners because we sin; we sin because we are sinners. It is the condition every person enters the world in, and no education, religion, morality, or willpower can change what we are by nature.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."— Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."— Romans 6:23
The penalty for that sin is death — not merely the physical death that ends this life, but an eternal death, a permanent separation from God in a place the Bible calls Hell. Every cemetery and every obituary is a sobering reminder that those wages are being paid. Many would rather not face this truth, but we cannot soften or set aside what God’s Word plainly declares.
But there is good news. What no man could do for himself, God did for him. Jesus Christ — the Son of God — came into this world, lived the perfect life we never could, and died on the cross to pay the full penalty for our sin. He did not come to improve us. He came to save us.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."— Romans 5:8
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."— Ephesians 2:8-9
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."— Romans 10:13
Since we cannot earn our way to Heaven, we must rely entirely on Jesus Christ. Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done — it is a gift, received by faith in what He has already done. God loves you enough to have sent His only Son to die in your place. Trust Him, and you will be forgiven, made right with God, and assured of an eternity in Heaven.
If you have questions or would like to speak with someone about your relationship with God, we would love to hear from you.
